Democrat Jeremy Walker went live with a new radio ad yesterday.
Throughout the one-minute spot, Walker, who is challenging Republican David Luechtefeld for the 58th district state Senate seat, says he would be the better choice because he brings a fresh perspective. The ad repeats an audio clips of Luechtefeld claiming he is not sure Illinois’ problems can be fixed.

Walker apparently had his day before the Southern Illinoisan editorial board Monday. It looks like he reiterated a lot of the points he made in his radio ad, but also made this revelation…
If elected, he’s on a brief timetable, too, as Walker said he’s not interested in becoming a career politician. A proponent of term limits both on elected offices and leadership positions within the general assembly, Walker said he would spend no more than six years in office.
